Cancel a Premium Subscription
At ClassHelper, canceling your subscription involves no phone calls, no notice periods, and no commitments beyond the prepaid period. Your 30-day free trial requires no cancellation at all: it expires automatically if you choose not to subscribe.
Step-by-Step Cancellation Process
- Open the whiteboard and navigate to Account via the sidebar menu.
- Open the Subscription & Billing tab.
- Click Cancel Subscription.
- Confirm your selection. The dashboard displays the exact date your current paid billing period concludes.
- After that date passes, your account status reflects the standard permanent Free tier.
Your account retains full Premium functionality until the final day of your paid billing term. Formal contract terms are outlined in our Terms of Service.
What Happens to Your Lesson Materials
When your subscription ends, you will never lose access to your teaching materials:
- Lesson Collections: All created boards, folders, and whiteboard layouts remain completely accessible on your device.
- Student Rosters: All class lists and group setups stay intact.
- Classroom Tools: All 35 tools remain fully usable with zero restrictions.
- What Changes: Cloud synchronization across multiple computers, shared collaboration links, and automated cloud backups discontinue.
Before your subscription ends, we recommend clicking Export all data as file under Account settings to maintain an offline backup of your boards, as detailed in Saving a Whiteboard.
Refunds and Special Situations
- If you were billed inadvertently or wish to request a refund shortly after renewal, reach out to our team via the Contact Page.
- For school-wide volume licensing, cancellations are coordinated through your district administrative contact.
- Pre-service teachers and student teachers do not need to cancel: access remains free throughout teacher training.
Summary
Cancel anytime with one click under Account > Subscription & Billing. Your boards, rosters, and tools remain free and accessible forever. Only multi-device cloud synchronization stops at the end of the paid billing cycle.
