Classroom Video Player
Ad-free educational video playback right on your digital board canvas.
Showing short educational video clips enriches lessons, but switching browser tabs or managing noisy ads disrupts student attention. The classroom video player embeds video streams directly into your digital whiteboard. Play curriculum clips in high definition beside lesson directions without third-party tracking.
“Classroom Video Player” is a tool by ClassHelper, the free digital whiteboard for teachers. It runs directly in your browser with no account required and servers in Germany.

How the Classroom Video Player works
The Classroom Video Player integrates multimedia content directly into your digital teaching environment. Instead of navigating away from your board layout to open external video platforms, teachers paste a video URL directly into a board card.
The video plays smoothly within its designated card frame. Surrounding lesson components—such as discussion questions, vocabulary notes, and observation checklists—remain visible, helping students stay focused on learning targets throughout the clip.
Step by step
- Open ClassHelper on your classroom display and add the Video tool from the media toolbar.
- Paste the URL of an educational video clip or direct video file into the player card.
- Resize the video window so students across the entire classroom have clear sightlines.
- Add guided viewing questions in an adjacent text card to steer student observation.
- Use keyboard shortcuts or on-screen controls to play, pause, and replay critical moments.
Using Classroom Video Player in the classroom
Science experiment demonstrations. Share laboratory experiments that cannot safely be performed in the classroom, pausing at key moments to ask students to predict the chemical outcome.
Historical speeches and documentary clips. Stream primary video footage and famous historical speeches during social studies units, followed by immediate text-based reflection prompts.
Foreign language pronunciation modeling. Play native speaker dialogues in world language courses, looping short conversation phrases for whole-class choral repetition.
Movement breaks and mindfulness exercises. Guide quick mid-morning brain breaks or calming stretching routines by playing structured movement animations between academic blocks.
Frequently asked questions about Classroom Video Player
Is the classroom video player free to use?
Yes. The video player widget is completely free to launch directly in your browser without any account registration or subscription fees.
What video sources can I embed into the classroom player?
You can embed video links from major educational platforms including YouTube and Vimeo, as well as direct MP4 links, directly onto your board.
Does the video player collect student viewing habits?
No student profiles or viewing metrics are gathered. We use Stripe Payments Europe (Dublin, Ireland) to process payments. Only billing data goes there, never student or lesson data.
Can I keep timers and instructions visible while the video plays?
Yes. The video player runs as a resizable widget on your board canvas, so timers, behavior lights, and notes remain active right beside the screen.
How does the player minimize classroom distractions?
By embedding the video directly on your board canvas, students see only the intended educational clip without distracting recommendation sidebars or comment sections.
How student and classroom data is protected is detailed in our ClassHelper privacy policy.
