How the Classroom Soundboard works

The Classroom Soundboard gives educators a voice-saving toolkit of non-verbal audio signals. By assigning specific sounds to recurring daily routines—such as clean-up time, transition warnings, or positive quiz rewards—students learn to respond immediately without teacher repetition.

Every audio track is carefully mastered to ensure a crisp, pleasant acoustic profile that never startles sensitive learners. Teachers tap or click sound tiles on their interactive whiteboard, laptop, or tablet to play cues instantly.

Step by step

  1. Open your ClassHelper board and click the Soundboard icon in the media menu.
  2. Review the sound tiles, organized by calming chimes, routine alerts, and rewards.
  3. Test audio playback and adjust the master volume slider to match room acoustics.
  4. Keep the soundboard widget docked beside your daily agenda or active work timers.
  5. Tap the appropriate sound tile whenever signaling transitions or celebrating achievements.

Using Classroom Soundboard in the classroom

Attention signals and quiet transitions. Use a gentle meditation chime or Tibetan singing bowl sound to signal the end of group discussions, prompting students to face forward in silence.

Clean-up reminders and rotation cues. Play an upbeat rhythmic chime to alert students that two minutes remain to tidy desks, pack materials, and prepare for the next lesson.

Gamified quiz celebrations. Hit positive applause or fanfare chimes when teams answer challenging trivia questions or reach collaborative class goals.

Trivia buzzers and friendly challenges. Add playful buzzer sound effects during vocabulary review games, creating an engaging game-show atmosphere that sparks participation.
