Delete Account and Stored Data
Whether you are retiring, switching schools, or resetting a shared classroom workstation, removing your data is quick and straightforward.
Exporting an Offline Backup First
Deleting data cannot be undone. Creating an offline backup takes only a single click and is completely free:
- Open Account from the whiteboard sidebar menu.
- Under Data Management, click Export all data as file.
- Your browser downloads a readable JSON file containing all your lesson collections, folders, student rosters, and profile settings.
- Save this file to your computer or personal cloud drive before proceeding.
Clearing All Data from Your Device
- In the Data Management section, click Delete All Data.
- Review the confirmation modal: it summarizes the exact count of lesson collections, rosters, and custom backgrounds scheduled for removal.
- Click Yes, delete everything.
- The local browser storage is immediately cleared and reset to factory defaults.
If you only want to remove specific outdated lessons, move them to the trash instead. Trashed items can be restored for 30 days, as explained in Deleting Stored Data.
Canceling a Paid Premium Account
If you use our optional cloud synchronization service, you can cancel your subscription at any time without retention calls or hidden hurdles:
- Navigate to Account and open the Subscription & Billing panel.
- Click Cancel Subscription.
- Your Premium benefits remain active until the end of your prepaid billing period.
- When the billing period concludes, your account gracefully transitions back to the permanent free tier.
All lesson plans and class rosters created during your subscription remain intact locally on your device.
Summary
Export an offline JSON backup under Account > Export all data as file before resetting. Clicking Delete All Data clears all local browser memory, and paid cloud plans can be canceled anytime with a single click.
