Start Teaching Without Signup

Updated in September 2026 Applies to Computer, Tablet

ClassHelper requires no account to use. You simply open the whiteboard in your web browser, arrange your tools, and begin teaching immediately. This guide explains how it works and where your materials are saved.

Starting in Three Steps

The process is identical on classroom desktop computers, interactive touchscreens, and tablets:

  1. Navigate to classhelper.app and click Open Whiteboard.
  2. An empty whiteboard canvas opens instantly. Use the bottom toolbar to place your first widget, such as the Classroom Timer or Noise Meter.
  3. Continue teaching. The whiteboard automatically saves changes in your browser as you arrange tools. For projector configuration advice, see Projector Setup.

There are no registration forms, no email verifications, and no passwords to remember in the classroom.

Everything Included for Free

You have full access to every core teaching capability without an account:

  1. Create unlimited lesson collections and class rosters.
  2. Use all 35 classroom widgets without functional restrictions.
  3. Organize lessons into folders, pin essential routines, and upload custom classroom backgrounds.
  4. Access our complete library of pre-built Templates with one click.
  5. Export complete offline JSON backups of your work anytime.

None of these classroom tools require accounts or paid upgrades.

Where Your Whiteboards Are Stored

Your lesson plans and rosters are stored locally in your browser storage on that specific device. No instructional data is sent to external cloud servers.

Because data is stored locally:

  • If you use private or incognito windows, temporary storage is discarded when closed.
  • If you switch between a classroom computer and a home laptop, materials remain on the original device.
  • To transfer your work to another computer, click Account in the sidebar and select Export all data as file under Data Management. Save this JSON file to a USB drive or cloud folder.

For educators who want automated cross-device syncing, explore Premium Features. Learn how student privacy is handled in Student Data Privacy, or read our Classroomscreen Comparison.

Summary

ClassHelper opens instantly without accounts or email requirements. All 35 tools and unlimited lesson collections are completely free. Your work is stored safely in your device browser.
