Create a Lesson Collection

Updated in September 2026

A lesson collection organizes the digital whiteboard screens and teaching widgets for a specific instructional period. By organizing boards by subject and grade level, you can launch your complete lesson structure with a single click at the start of class.

Creating a New Lesson Collection

  1. Open the My Lesson Collections overview by clicking the home or folder icon in the navigation menu.
  2. Click New Collection in the upper right corner. A fresh board is created and opened on your screen immediately.
  3. Set up your classroom widgets and lesson slides. Changes save automatically as you work.
  4. Give your collection a title: click directly into the title field, type a name such as Math 4th Grade — Fractions, and press enter.

Clear titles help you locate materials quickly during a busy school day. Ready-made lesson structures are also available under Templates.

Organizing Collections: Folders, Pinning, and Sorting

As your library grows throughout the semester, several features keep your workspace organized:

  1. Pinning: Click the three dots on a collection card and select Pin to Top. Pinned boards always stay at the top of your list for daily morning routines.
  2. Folders: Select Move to Folder from the card menu and create subject folders, such as Science Period 2. The folder filter at the top isolates relevant lessons.
  3. Sorting: Switch between “Recently Edited”, “Date Created”, and alphabetical sorting.
  4. Layout View: Toggle between grid and list views depending on whether you want visual preview thumbnails.

Deleting and Recovering Collections

  1. Select Delete from a card menu. The board moves to the trash bin rather than disappearing permanently.
  2. The trash bin is located at the bottom of the collections list. Trashed items are preserved for 30 days.
  3. Click Restore to retrieve any accidentally deleted board.
  4. Selecting Delete Permanently or waiting 30 days removes the board permanently.

In the standard free version, lesson collections reside in the browser storage of that specific computer. To back up your materials or take them home, use Export all data as file under Account settings.

Summary

Create new lesson collections in one click, edit titles on the card, organize materials with folders and pins, and recover deleted items from the 30-day trash bin.
